Business Development Executive (Central , North , South , East Coast & East Malaysia) 

Qualification

  • Min 5 years experience in veterinary, pharmaceutical, bio medical, pediatric and nutraceutical industry as a sales rep
  • Ability to communicate clearly in Bahasa Melayu, English and Mandarin (an added advantage)
  • Highly motivated with winning attitude, success driven and able to work independently
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills with experience with interfacing with veterinarians or pet business owners  and their team
  • Ability to utilise our inhouse CRM & SQL platfrom to plan , budget , report , forecast & capture business orders .
  • Ability to use social media , AI tools and other tools to find new leads & convert them to clients , to conduct market research , and study the market trends.
  • Must have own transport and ready to travel out of town with valid driving license

Job Scope 

  • Experienced in managing all clients and potential clients in a particular territory assigned by achieving monthly, quarterly & annual target business volumes.
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing  accounts within the assigned territory. Understand their business needs, identify growth opportunities, and provide tailored solutions. 
  • New Business Acquisition: Proactively identify and acquire new retail accounts (pet shops, vet clinics, hypermarkets, etc.) to expand Pets Corner’s distribution and market reach
  • Merchandising Collaboration: Work closely with client staff to ensure optimal in-store execution, product display, and promotional compliance. 
  • Promotional Planning & Execution: Plan, execute, and monitor trade promotions, in-store events, and loyalty programs tailored to each channel to maximize sales and brand engagement. 
  • Sales Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management to the Sales Manager to ensure optimal stock planning and resource allocation. 
  • Ability to research, design and working with the marketing department to roll out program(s) to promote the sales of particular product lines in line with market requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address and resolve customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner.(training will be provided)
  • Training & Education: Conduct formal and informal product training sessions for retailer staff, educating them on our brands unique value proposition, product benefits, and nutritional science. (coaching provided)
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. 
  • Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitive activities, and opportunities within the pet specialty and general trade channels. 
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare and submit comprehensive sales reports, including sales performance, market feedback, competitor activities, and pipeline updates, as required.
