Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional marketing certifications (e.g., Digital Marketing, CIM) are highly advantageous.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 6-8 years of progressive experience in marketing roles, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial capacity, leading marketing strategies and teams.
  • Proven expertise in both brand management and digital marketing (SEO, SEM, social media, content, e-commerce).
  • Prior experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector is highly preferred; experience specifically in the pet food industry is a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Experience managing a team, agency relationships and marketing budgets.

Job Scope

Brand Strategy & Management:

  • Brand Planning: Develop and implement annual and long-term brand plans for Pets Corner's portfolio in Malaysia with various brand partners, aligning with global brand guidelines and local market insights.
  • Brand Positioning: Define and refine brand positioning, messaging, and value propositions for various product lines (e.g., breed-specific, veterinary diets, life stages) to resonate with target audiences (pet owners, breeders, vet professionals).
  • Market Research: Lead market research initiatives to understand consumer insights, market trends, competitive landscape, and identify new opportunities for brand growth.
  • Product Portfolio Management: Work closely with R&D, Sales, and Supply Chain teams on product lifecycle management, including new product launches, portfolio optimization, and discontinuation strategies.
  • Budget Management: Manage the overall brand and digital marketing budget effectively with brand partners, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and ROI tracking
Digital Marketing Leadership:

  • Digital Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy encompassing SEO/SEM, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, display advertising, and e-commerce marketing.
  • Performance Marketing: Oversee paid digital campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads) to drive traffic, leads, and conversions, with a strong focus on ROI and optimization.
  • Content Strategy: Lead the development of engaging, educational, and brand-consistent digital content (articles, videos, infographics) for various platforms.
  • Social Media Management: Develop and manage social media strategies, community management, and influencer collaborations to build brand presence and engagement.
  • Website & CRM: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of Pets Corner's local website, ensuring a seamless user experience and leveraging CRM system development for targeted consumer data management and communication.
  • Data Analytics: Utilize digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track, measure, and report on digital campaign performance, deriving actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Integrated Marketing Campaign Management:

  • Campaign Development: Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring synergy across digital, traditional (offline events, print), and trade marketing activities.
  • Agency Management: Manage relationships with external agencies (creative, media, digital, PR) to ensure high-quality deliverables and effective campaign execution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales team (especially Sales Managers and Key Account Managers for General Trade and Veterinary channels) to ensure marketing initiatives support sales objectives and drive retail execution.
  • PR & Communications: Oversee public relations efforts and communications to maintain a positive brand image and manage brand reputation.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Leadership & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Marketing Executives (e.g., Digital Marketing Executive, Trade Marketing Executive), fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Performance Management: Set clear objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback and development plans for team members.
  • Talent Development: Identify skill gaps within the team and facilitate training opportunities to enhance capabilities.
