Veterinary Physiotherapist
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapist
- Clinical Background: Minimum 5 years of experience in human clinical settings, with a strong preference for those specializing in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, or Neuro-rehab
- Ability to provide skilled care and expertise in all physiotherapist procedures
- Demonstrate good patient care (Pet care) and customer service skills
- Must be able to Multi-task and be fast in learning on the job
Key responsibilities
- Clinical Adaptation: Translate human physiotherapy protocols (manual therapy, mobilization, and therapeutic exercise) into effective treatments for canine and feline patients.
- Advanced Modality Management: Lead the use of our rehabilitation suite, including Class IV Laser, Ultrasound, and Underwater Treadmill (Hydrotherapy) systems.
- Neurological & Orthopedic Recovery: Design intensive rehab programs for spinal injury recovery (e.g., IVDD), cruciate ligament repairs, and hip dysplasia management.
- Biomechanical Analysis: Conduct gait analysis and functional assessments to monitor patient progress, utilizing objective medical charting.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in rounds with Veterinary Surgeons to provide a holistic recovery plan for complex cases.
- Professional Leadership: Contribute to the development of veterinary rehabilitation standards in Malaysia through the Medivet Group’s educational platforms.
